Free K-Lite Codec Pack Full Download Update Version 4.8.0

Apologies for the month-long hiatus but work has been crazy.

In my absence, a lot of updates to freeware multiplayer shooters have popped up (more on this later) but the audiophile in me found this news almost more exciting than all the recent freeware strategy game/multiplayer shooter updates combined: K-Lite Codec Pack Full v4.8.0 has been released today!

>> What's so special about free, K-Lite Codec Pack full downloadable versions? Click.

What's new? This from Free-Codecs.com:

Changes from K-Lite Codec Pack 4.7.5 FULL to K-Lite Codec Pack 4.8.0 FULL :

- Updated ffdshow to revision 2925
- Fixed a ffdshow threading bug that could make Windows Media Center crash
- Updated Gabest MPEG splitter to version 1.2.1020.0
- Updated MediaInfo Lite to version 0.7.14
- Updated Codec Tweak Tool to version 2.5.3
- Minor changes and improvements
I hope this brings to the table massive audio improvements.

The free K-lite Codec Pack full update can be downloaded from HERE.

I've yet to download it this weekend and install it but for now, work.

"Off I go then!"

L4D (Left 4 Dead) Hunter Gameplay Video

Effing awesome.

If you work for us and you see someone wearing a hooded sweater with the number 420 emblazoned on the front, that's probably be me. No worries; I'm just gonna pat you on the back for a job well done. If you see someone with the same clothing jumping up and down the buildings of Divisoria though, you better pray you can run faster than Carl Lewis:

No wait, with skills like that, you're definitely not gonna see him. Go back and play CS v1.0.

And I thought infected fought attrition matches. That team will totally own survivors.

Download Dox Optimised 182.46 Video Card Graphic Driver

WARNING: This is a 3rd-party, Nvidia-based tweaked video card driver. Nvidia does not support this software. I also have not tested this one yet. Install at your own risk.

Dox of Laptopvideo2go.com released Dox Optimised 182.46 last March 26. The driver no longer supports hybrid laptops and quadro cards but supports a wide range of Nvidia GeForce video cards (series 6 all the way to the GT200).

It also doesn't come with PhysX, which is a relief for users whose cards don't support it. As a result, the installer is very small, weighing in at 27.3Mb.

The driver "is tweaked for higher performance with minimal loss in IQ (system dependent)."

Download Dox Optimised 182.46 HERE.

(It's spelled that way; a lot of users search for "Dox Optimized.")
